Ann's Update: Porkie Pop Finally Get's a Leg Up

Finally, we have breaking news on Porkie Pop's leg:

Today Porky Pop went to the dr. for his leg.  Middie Mom and I both think the dr. thinks PP's problem may be arthritis, but he had porkie pop get a hip x-ray to check things out.  We thank our God that his heart and lungs sounded great!!!  PP seemed pleased with the dr's report, but he still went to bed early----around 6:30 pm  THe other night he went at 6:00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As you can see, the right hip has a normal alignment and joint contour, whereas the left side is noted for it's arthritic condition (images are for educational purposes only)

Tomorrow Middie Mom has her appointment with the same dr. for her pneumonia check-up.  We're praying that she will get a wonderful report and then another wonderful report on Thursday.  Please keep praying.

I made an appointment to get checked because of my cold, but when I asked the dr today, he said they couldn't really do much about it and said the appointment wasn't necessary, so I cancelled it.

Team Doughten Home Base

From the Home Base

The latest and greatest from Auntie Ann and the Team Doughten Home Base in Penn Acres:

I just talked with Kelly today and she said her dad is very, very sick.  John Hopkins would not take him as a patient because he's so sick.  He has cancer in many different places.  Please pray for him and Kelly and her sisters.

Also, another teacher, Robin Cebenka, buried her dad today.  He died earlier this week.  Please pray for her family too.

Our nurse , whose dad just died a few weeks ago, now her husband's step-father died.  Thanks for your prayers for all of these.

These for your faithful prayers for Middie Mom and Porky Pop.  We love you all very much.  Love and Prayers, AUntie  Ann

Milburn Orchards 2011: Baby on Board

Some members of Team Doughten recently had a wonderful day at Milburn Orchards in beautiful Elkton Maryland.  It was the first year bringing baby Bella, and interestingly enough she was more quiet and well behaved the Uncle Harry who kept trying to hurry everyone back to the house (something about an Eagle's game)  Photos below courtesy of Faith:

Ann's Update: Pneumonia!

Mid's Battle with Pneumonia continues on...but our God is working against it stronger still!

We thank our God for ALL HE IS DOING for us.  Today Middie Mom got a good report from Dr. Misleh.  Her hemoglobin came up a little... We're so thankful for the increase.  Her platelets were still in the 120s and her white cells and and were up a little, but the dr. was glad because of the pneumonia.  I asked about an x-ray because the family dr. didn't take an x-ray last week when he diagnosed her with pneumonia.

Dr. Misleh did write a prescription so we could get one downstairs in the HGC.  Please pray that this x-ray will be good and there will be no problems.  the x-ray is on her lungs.  ALso, we're still waiting the results of her chlos.   So, please pray that report will be great too.  Also, please pray for her anasnep shot to help her and not to hurt and for God to heal this pneumonia too and for her not to have cramps in her legs (she has once in a great while when she first wakes up and gets up.)  It's not frequent, but every so often.

Chest X-Ray for demonstration purposes only

Also, we thank our God that Pork has agreed NOT to drive at night (by himself), but he would NOT let me make his leg appointment, after he said that he would.  His said his legs are a little better this week, so we do thank our God for that improvement.

We thank our God for HIS continual faithfulness, mercy, grace, and love for us.  TO GOD be the glory for the things HE HAS DONE and IS DOING.

We love you all very much.  Love and Prayers, AUntie ANn

rant from the editor

this blog is for the entire family to enjoy....if no one ever leaves comments or sends updates via minnifmd@aol.com, then the blog will be discontinued.  please submit your comments and updates today.....or else!

Porkie Pop . . . in Detroit?

After a recent visit with Porkie Pop, we came away with two important news bulletins:

1.)  he has pain in his leg, but depending on what inning it happened to be in the baseball game he was watching, the pain was either in the lower leg, the knee, the hip, the groin or the thigh.  Needless to say, if you all would just pray for the entire lower extremity, we should be in good shape.

2.) if the Detroit Tigers make it to the World Series (which seems a possibility, down 2-1 to Texas), Porkie Pop requested that he would like to go out to a game.  Currently, tickets cost nearly $500 a piece.  If anyone would like to contribute money, we will try to organize a trip for one big adventure out to the ball game for Pork.  It would be a huge way of saying thank you to him for all he means to our family.  Please send checks to 31 Heatherfield Way, Dover, DE 19904.  Please put in memo line: "DEE-twoit"

here's some recent photos pork showing off his new Tiger's shirt: (of note, he actually wore this over his dress shirt and tie to sunday service...)

alright....

"ahhhhhhhh"

"Go DEE-twoit"

Hemoglobin and Hobgoblin

and now the latest, most comprehensive information on our sweet Middie Mom:

Hi, Wonderful Family!!!
We love you all and thank you for your faithful prayers.  God is continuing to help us BIG TIME.

Today Mom had her blood work and shot at the HG.  We thank our God that her white cells are getting closer to where they should be.  They're still a little too high, but coming down.  Pray they come down to the exact amount and no further.

We thank God that even though her platelets came down: they're still 125, which is good (We want them to come up to 150)

PLEASE PRAY FOR HER HEMOGLOBIN AND RED CELLS.  They came down, hemoglobin 8.9 to 8.8.  Her red cells came down from 2.71 to 2,64.  Hemoglobin is not to be confused with the hobgoblin (a comic book character), so below is a visual to assist you in your prayers

Also---this afternoon we went to the doctor because Mom has had two bad coughing spells in the middle of the night the past two nights. I thought she should go to the dr, but no one agreed.  But, I prayed God would lead us and HE DID!!!!!  When I asked them to check her heart and lungs at the HGC, her nurse wasn't there, the other nurse was on the phone, and they said to go to the family dr.  That was all we needed to call the dr.  Thank You, God.  Bottom line, Mom has pneumonia and the dr. said it's a good thing we came so hopefully she won't need to go to the hospital.  He gave her a prescription and she has to come back in three weeks.

Thanks for your faithful prayers, visits,  letters, and phone cards.  We love you all so very much.  Love and PRayers, AUntie ANn
