Not Too Late For Father's Day

Here's a look back on Father's Day this past year.  Since we didn't have a blog at the time we couldn't share these pictures, but now, thanks to modern technology, we can!  Enjoy!

Dedicated unto the Lord

Simply put, today was a very special day for team Doughten.   The entire Delaware contingent  (even davie!) was there to witness the dedication of baby Bella to the Lord at Ogletown Baptist Church.  As Pastor Curtis said, there was no "magic dust" sprinkled or salvation pronounced.  Instead it was a time for family, friends, and more importantly the body of Christ to stand together praying over and proclaiming this child be given to the service of our Lord. We pray also that she grow in wisdom and stature as we pray for God's work of salvation in her life.  Thanks to everyone for attending, Harry and Linda for hosting the after party, and to all who participated in the spirited discussion on the importance of altar calls in today's church (you know who you are!)

We never even said what we were thankful for!

thanks to everyone for a wonderful thanksgiving this year!  Special recognition to Aunt Cath and Uncle JJ for having us over and to everyone for making and/or bringing such wonderful food.  Unfortunately we did not go around and share what each person was thankful for this year.  As such, the blog will be doing it for you.  enjoy!
