On what proved to be a wild day, we all trekked to the beach one final time yesterday. Upon arriving, we were informed by Amanda Bailey that the lifeguards had warned everyone about "surges" in the ocean. Somehow when this news was relayed back to certain family members still at the house, it went from being a surge to a tsunami and everyone was convinced that the waves were up to the boardwalk.
thankfully, we eventually got the right information out and everyone spent a wonderful final day at the beach. Despite a little wind, we all made out ok. Aunt Cath read her book, Aunt Linda picked seashells, Uncle Harry lost his umbrella, Christine made Derek get her some pizza and Faith made sure everyone was alright.

I must have missed CNN's coverage of the tsunami. I'm so glad you were able to avoid being washed away!
