Happy News from the Curlett side of the Doughten family!
A new baby was born on the Curlett side of the family-- baby Gabrielle
Elizabeth Ford. She arrived on her due date-- December 19th. Her proud parents
are Rebecca (Curlett) and Michael Ford. Gabrielle is the little sister to
Madeline (4 yrs) and Natalie (2yrs). Gabrielle weighed 9 lbs. 9 oz. and is 22
in. long. Madeline and Natalie were hoping for a brother. Madeline cried when
she learned the baby was a girl and after Natalie held Gabrielle for the first
time, she asked, "Where's the brother?" When I visited the happy family today,
it was evident, though, that Madeline is already in love with her sister.
She immediately snuggled her head close to Gabrielle. Madeline, the big sister,
already wants to paint Gabrielle's nails AND she already told her that you are
not allowed to run around the house with scissors. The wonderful minds of
children!
Gabrielle is beautiful with lots of dark hair. What a precious miracle to
end 2011-- a year full of blessings in our family. We are looking forward to
seeing Team Doughten during the holidays.
